The City is currently monitoring the #TexasFire burning in the area of Bouquet Canyon Road, north of Vasquez Canyon Road. The lead agency is the Angeles National Forest in coordination with Los Angeles County Fire.

The fire is reported to be approximately 50-100 acres.

A road closure is in place on Bouquet Canyon Road between Vasquez Canyon Road and Spunky Canyon.

More updates will be posted here when available.

UPDATE (4:45 p.m.): Road closures remain in effect for Bouquet Canyon Road between Vasquez Canyon Rd and Spunky Canyon.

UPDATE (4:06 p.m.): Forward progress has been stopped. Crews remain in the area to continue fighting the fire. Evacuations are now lifted. Further updates will be posted here if necessary.

UPDATE (3:26 p.m.): The Texas Fire has grown to 130 acres and is 5% contained, per Angeles National Forest officials.

UPDATE (2:52 p.m.): EVACUATIONS are taking place on Bouquet Canyon between Vasquez Canyon Road and Spunky Canyon, per the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

UPDATE (2:48 p.m.): A second alarm has been requested and the fire is now approximately 100 acres in size with 0% containment.
